CARSON, Calif. - Jose Villarreal has been named to the 2016 MLSsoccer.com 24 Under 24 presented by EA Sports 50-player short list.
Villarreal, who placed 11th on the list in 2013, is the only Galaxy player eligible for MLSsoccer.com's annual ranking of the top prospects under the age of 24. This the third time that the 22-year-old has been named to the short list during his five-year MLS career.
The Inglewood native has predominantly played for LA Galaxy II this season, scoring six goals and four assists in 22 appearances. Villarreal has made also made three league appearances for the Galaxy first team in 2016.
