CARSON, Calif. – Voting is now open for the LA Galaxy Goal of the Month competition presented by 76 gas for October.
Two goals by Emmanuel Boateng and Alan Gordon are nominated alongside a tally by Giovani dos Santos this month.
The winner of the monthly poll will join Efrain Alvarez, Robbie Rogers, Dos Santos, Jack McBean, and Ariel Lassiter as past winners of the Goal of the Month honor.

ALAN GORDON VS. HOUSTON DYNAMO
Alan Gordon has made a career of being at the right place at the right time and he showed off that skill with his goal in the Galaxy’s 1-0 win over the Houston Dynamo. Gordon’s winner came in the 72nd minute when he rushed to interfere with David Horst’s clearance, which deflected off the striker and into the net. The goal was the perfect birthday present for Gordon who celebrated his 35th birthday with the tally and a win against Houston.
ALAN GORDON VS. REAL SALT LAKE
Gordo kept up his torrid scoring streak in the LA Galaxy’s 3-1 Knockout Round victory over Real Salt Lake on Oct. 26. The 35-year-old forward opened the scoring in the 13th minute when Landon Donovan’s cross was headed onto Gordon by Giovani dos Santos for the easy finish from close range. Gordon is one of the Galaxy’s most in-form offensive weapons as of late with four goals and two assists in eight games.
EMA BOATENG VS. REAL SALT LAKE
Ema Boateng channeled Lionel Messi for his remarkable game-winner in the Knockout Round match against Real Salt Lake. In the 26th minute, the speedy Ghanaian dribbled past Salt Lake’s defense, leaving three defenders in his wake before firing a shot past goalkeeper Nick Rimando for the goal.
EMA BOATENG VS. REAL SALT LAKE
Ema completed his brace against Salt Lake in the 34th minute when he blew past defender Demar Phillips along the right side of the midfield and then beat Nick Rimando with a well-placed effort to the far post. Boateng torched Salt Lake in 2016 with four goals and two assists against the Claret-and-Cobalt.
GIOVANI DOS SANTOS VS. COLORADO RAPIDS
Giovani dos Santos’ first career postseason goal came at the perfect time for the LA Galaxy. Dos Santos gave the Galaxy a slim one-goal lead in their Western Conference Semifinal series with the Colorado Rapids in the 55th minute when his bouncing header deflected off defender Axel Sjoberg and into the net.
