LA Galaxy open 2017 MLS Season March 4 against FC Dallas

The LA Galaxy will open the 2017 MLS Regular Season at StubHub Center on Saturday, March 4, at 1 p.m. PT against FC Dallas, Major League Soccer announced today. Broadcast information and the LA Galaxy’s full 2017 schedule will be announced at a later date.


Single-game tickets for the Galaxy’s home-opening match at StubHub Center on Saturday, March 4 will go on sale at a later date. LA Galaxy Season Ticket Memberships for the 2017 MLS season are available for purchase now. The opening match will mark the 69th time that the Galaxy have faced FC Dallas in the MLS Regular Season, with the Galaxy going 33-23-12. In those contests, LA have scored 118 goals while allowing 90. The Galaxy are 11-8-2 all time in opening matches.


In 2016, the Galaxy lost just one match in 17 contests at StubHub Center, going 8-1-8 while scoring 32 goals and allowing just 18 for a +14 goal differential. In the past four seasons, the Galaxy have gone 43-6-19 at StubHub Center while scoring 149 goals and allowing just 56 (+93 goal differential).


During the 2017 MLS Regular Season, each club will play 34 games, including 17 home games and 17 away games. Teams will face each of their 10 conference opponents twice during the season with one game at home and one game away. Clubs also will compete in select additional games against different conference opponents three times, and they will face non-conference opponents once. Full times, opponents, and broadcast information for these games will be announced at a later date.
