- Tuesday’s preseason match against Club Tijuana will mark Curt Onalfo’s first match as head coach of the LA Galaxy.
- During his time as Head Coach of LA Galaxy II in USL, Onalfo led the Galaxy to three-consecutive postseason berths (2014, 2015, 2016) while winning the USL Western Conference in 2015
- During his 86 games over three seasons with LA Galaxy II, Los Dos scored 145 goals and earned +34 goal differential
- Onalfo will trot out a lineup that accommodates the absence of several key players due to injury, international absence and travel as Gyasi Zardes (knee), Giovani dos Santos (International – Mexico), Robbie Rogers (ankle), Romain Alessandrini (visa), João Pedro (visa), Hugo Arellano (International – USYNT) are out
- LA Galaxy midfielder Jermaine Jones will make his debut for LA tomorrow, starting alongside Baggio Husidic in the center of the midfield.
- LA Galaxy forwards Jack McBean and Ariel Lassiter, the leading scorers from Los Dos in 2015 and 2016, will start up top in Onalfo’s first game in charge.
- Midfielder Sebastian Lletget will slide into the starting XI after returning this weekend from duty with USMNT.
