Curt Onalfo says that Gyasi Zardes will resume on-field training ahead of season opener | INSIDER

CARSON, Calif. – LA Galaxy head coach Curt Onalfo confirmed that Gyasi Zardes will resume on-field training this week ahead of the team’s MLS regular season opener against FC Dallas on Saturday.

Speaking at a town hall at the club’s Season Ticket Member Rally, Onalfo confirmed that Zardes will resume on-field training this week. Zardes has missed the last month after undergoing knee surgery after picking up an injury at U.S. National Team camp last month.

Onalfo noted, however, that it is no guarantee however that Zardes will be available to participate in Saturday’s game.

“He’ll be on the field in training, but we’ll still have to see if he can contribute later this week.”

Regarding Robbie Rogers, who is still out with an injury, Onalfo stated that "he'll still need more time" to return to the field.
