LA Galaxy fall in latest MLS Power Rankings | INSIDER

CARSON, Calif. – The LA Galaxy continued to slide down the MLS Power Rankings after their disappointing 3-0 defeat to Seattle Sounders FC.

The Galaxy dropped to 2-5-0 on the year and 1-3-0 at StubHub Center in 2017. The explanations for all three key Power Rankings can be found below.

"There’s plenty of time for the Galaxy to figure this out, but man…it looks ugly out there. Still, if Gio, Gyasi, and Alessandrini can get it clicking in the final third, there may yet be hope for LA."

"Hoo boy. What is there left to say? The LA Galaxy may not be quite as talent-laden as past years, and losing MLS’s most successful coach and a talismanic goal-scorer is always going to hurt. But few could have expected the Galaxy to look as bad as they did in a 3–0 home loss to Seattle. On the plus side, LA faces one of the few teams in worse form, Philadelphia, at home on Saturday with a chance to turn things around."

"The Galaxy have a history of starting slow, so perhaps there won't be as much worry due to their poor record now. But they were beaten comprehensively by Seattle at home on Sunday and have now lost three times at the StubHub Center this year. Even the slow-starting Galaxy teams of the past didn't do that."
