LA Galaxy announce the signing of former U.S. youth international midfielder Sebastian Lletget

FRISCO, Texas. -- The LA Galaxy announced the signing of former U.S. youth international midfielder Sebastian Lletget on Friday

A 22-year-old left-footed midfielder, Lletget spent the last five years with West Ham United making just a single first appearance in an FA Cup match a year ago. Although Northern California native was mostly limited U-21 matches with the Hammers, Lletget does boast considerable youth international experience having suited up for the U.S. U-17's, U-20's and U-23's.

To acquire Lletget, the Galaxy sent $50,000 in allocation money to the New England Revolution for the player's discovery rights.

"He's a good young player who is going to help us in the midfield. He can play on the inside or out wide. He's a player that will obviously help our depth in the midfield and hopefully, he can develop into a good player in our league," Arena said on Friday. "We'll obviously need to see him in our environment for a while before we can determine where he's going to fit in but he's a player with good potential."
