Steven Gerrard's illustrious career at Liverpool FC officially came to an end as the Reds skipper played his final game for his hometown club on Saturday, setting the stage for his eventual LA Galaxy debut in July.
As one chapter of his career came to an end, Gerrard's new club chose to pay tribute to hometown with a full-page ad in the Liverpool Echo on the 10th anniversary of Gerrard's defining moment in a Liverpool shirt--the miraculous UEFA Champions League Final comeback at Istanbul's Attaturk Stadium in 2005.
