The Hero of the Match presented by Pirnia Law for September 2o is Staff Sargeant Daisy Morgan
Staff Sergeant Morgan was born and raised in Huntington Beach, CA. Morgan is first generation here with her mother and father who are from Puebla, Mexico. She is also the first female in her entire extended family to serve in the armed forces.
Staff Sergeant Morgan enlisted in the Army in 2015, as a 68X Behavioral Health Technician before transitioning to a 15W Unmanned Aircraft Systems Operator (drone operator). Morgan’s first duty station was in Fort Bliss, TX. She has attained her Air Assault badge, Gold German Armed Forces Badge, and completed the Norwegian ruck march. Her most recent duty station was Wheeler Army Airfield in Oahu as the UAS platoon sergeant for Alpha Troop, 2nd squadron 6 Cavalry Regiment, 25th Combat Aviation Brigade. Staff Sergeant Morgan now lives here in California with her daughter assigned as an Army recruiter in Long Beach, CA.
Some of her awards include the Army Commendation Medal Ribbon, Army Achievement Medal Ribbon with awards, the National Defense Medal, and the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal.
