Acquired from Toronto FC in January, Chad Barrett has been in Bruce Arena’s starting lineup for each of the first three games of the season, tallying four shots, which are good for second on the team. While he is still searching for his first goal for the club, Barrett has proven difficult to opposing defenders to handle, not just this season, but throughout his MLS career, which started in 2005 with the Chicago Fire.

We recently caught up with the Galaxy’s #11 to ask him our First XI, a series of 11 hard-hitting questions designed to help you get to know the real Chad Barrett.

Best soccer memory: Playing for the U.S. at the FIFA U-20 World Championships in Holland in 2005.

Best goal you’ve scored: Probably the one I scored against Argentina at that tournament. (The U.S. won their opening game of the tournament 1-0 against eventual champion Argentina)

Toughest defender that you’ve ever faced: Marvell Wynne

Favorite stadium: BMO Field in Toronto

Do you have any superstitions: I don’t

Best player in practice: It changes everyday. The best guy one day can be the worst the next. That’s a tough one, it’s always changing.

Worst dressed teammate: I’d have to say Dusty Baker (Dustin McCarty). I don’t think that I’ve ever seen him wear jeans.

Funniest teammate: Jovan Kirovski

Most likely to be pranked?: I don’t want to pick on him, but Dustin. Actually, it would probably be one of the stars, someone like Landon.

Best place to hang out in Los Angeles: Manhattan Beach

Favorite restaurant: Ruth’s Chris Steak House
