ALL-TIME (2 meetings): Chivas USA 1 win, 4 goals … Galaxy 1 win, 7 goals … Ties 0
• The teams are meeting for the second time this season, the Galaxy look to not only win, but completely dominate their opponents
• The Galaxy staff won the first meeting ever between the clubs in dominant fashion, a 6-2 victory on Field 5 in 2011.

Missing the majority of the team due to injury or international absence, the Galaxy put up a hard fight against a Chivas USA mixed front office/staff roster, coming back from an early two-goal deficit with a dominant second half characterized by numerous chances and few goals.

  • “We need relentless, high pressure.  We’ll  force them to make bad decisions and capitalize on their mistakes," said Galaxy staff head coach Billy A. "We’ll counter their fast forwards with speedy wingers of our own and look to get up and down the flanks, play the ball through the middle of the park and get Leppanen, Berredo and McGowan plenty of scoring chances.  We aren’t looking for a 1-0 victory, more of a 7-3 goal scoring affair that will leave the fans talking about this one for years to come.”
  • Added Technical Director Chris Klein, “We’ve trained 30 minutes as a partial team over the past two weeks and feel we are ready for this epic showdown between two of the world’s most prolific staff squads.  We have incredible depth and some real play makers that will be stepping foot on to the field this Thursday.  It is our goal to embarrass our opponents every time we step on to the pitch.  Anything other than an absolute throttling of our opponent will be a disappointment.  We are going to get it done!  This game will be worth the price of admission.”

Fans wishing to attend this epic clash should note that both parking and admission are free. The clash is scheduled to take place kicking off promptly at 6 p.m. on Field 5, the turf field on the south side of the main driveway off of Avalon Blvd. Immediately following, Galaxy supporters will take on Chivas USA supporters in two back-to-back match-ups. LA Riot Squad face Black Army at 7:30 p.m. followed by Angel City Brigade vs Union Ultras at approximately 8:45 p.m. MORE EVENT INFO
