Oscar11Chelsealover: Why do you play as a defender? Is it your favorite position to play or were you just place there? Have you always played as a defender? And at what age did you start playing soccer?
Sean Franklin: I went from forward, to midfielder, to defender. i always enjoyed the midfield. in highs chool i played attacking mid. and in club i would play right back or center back. just something that i got comfortable with over years playing in the back line.

mlolax22: If you weren't playing soccer, what would you be doing?
SF: Hopefully putting my graphic desgin degree to use.

aypho: Who do you see as a bigger rival: The San Jose Earthquakes or Chivas USA?
SF: SJ

elreeso55: What players were your idols when you were young?
SF: Thierry Henry & Michael Jordan

deadplay: This is the first time I've ever actually had the opportunity to ask a professional anything, and I was just wondering. What was it like your rookie year and how hard was it for you to get into the professional side of the sport?
SF: great question. my rookie year was crazy. didnt know what to expect as far as my playing time or where i compared to the other players. i just wanted to work hard and play the best i could in hopes to see the field at some point.

soupjavelin: If you could be a professional athlete in any other sport, what would it be, and why?
SF: golf. no running.

el_fuego91: How is the team dealing with the news of Beckham leaving? What is the atmosphere like in the dressing room?
SF: Everyone is excited for this weekend. the fact that its david's last game, we want to send him off on a high note. but we will be sad to see a great person leave

ace621: Would you do away with the playoff system and have the MLS cup winner the team with the most points in the season? Thoughts on implementing a relegation system?
SF: I get the idea of playoffs because its how "american Sports" are, but every other league, for example EPL is like that where the team with the most points is the champion. i would do away with it.
