CARSON, Calif. – LA Galaxy head coach Bruce Arena told reporters on Friday that injured midfielder Jose Villarreal is expected to be “available” for Sunday’s clash with Seattle Sounders FC.
The 21-year-old left midfielder missed LA’s defeat to Vancouver Whitecaps FC a week ago with a hamstring injury, but returned to training earlier this week.
“He’ll be alright,” Arena said. “He’ll be available.”
Arena also chimed in about Mika Vayrynen (calf) noting that the Finnish midfielder “looked alright” at training on Friday.
