Who or what has influenced you as a leader on the field?

I would have to say all the great midfielders in the world. Juninho is a good example because he is really good. He is doing a great job on the field.

What are some of your favorite memories from your days as a beginner?

I think it was my first game when I played for Brestois in France. It was very emotional because I had a lot of thoughts in my head, and I was thinking about my family, and my friends watching me on the TV.

How have you found your transition into Los Dos?

It was very exciting; new people, a new language. I was afraid because I didn’t know anybody, but everybody was nice to me and it’s a fabulous city. LA is amazing; maybe the best city in the world, the weather is amazing. So everything was nice. Sometimes it’s hard because you are far away from your family and friends. Jetlag is very important, but it was good.

How has USL developed over the years?

I think the league is better now because there are more reserve teams so it’s more competitive. The way they do the championship this year is going to bring more competition.

What do you look forward to accomplishing in your future?

A lot of success. First I want to sign an MLS contract, and then win [the championship] because that is our target. If we win the league, it’s going to be good publicity for everybody. So I want a lot of success and to stay healthy.

What do you do on your own time?

I like to go out to nice restaurants sometimes. But most of the time, I’m not doing anything. I stay in my place and play video games, or watch the TV. NBA 2K most of the time.
