LA Galaxy match against NYCFC in August moved to ESPN

CARSON, Calif. (Thursday, June 25, 2015) – LA Galaxy announced today that the game Sunday, Aug. 23 at StubHub Center against New York City FC has been moved to the flagship ESPN to be broadcast live to a national audience beginning at 12 p.m. PT. The game was previously scheduled to take place at 2 p.m. PT and be shown on ESPN2.



Tickets for the match Aug. 23 can be purchased at here for as low as $28.


The match will mark the first time in history that the LA Galaxy will face 2015 expansion side New York City FC, who joined Major League Soccer this season. In addition to 2014 MLS MVP Robbie Keane, USMNT’s Gyasi Zardes, Omar Gonzalez & Mix Diskerud and Spain’s all-time leading scorer David Villa, the match is set to see English legends Steven Gerrard and Frank Lampard square off against each other following their summer arrivals.
