LA Galaxy partner with Relevent to Host Manchester City-Real Madrid match on July 26 at LA Memorial Coliseum

The LA Galaxy, in conjunction with Relevent Sports, announced today that the club will host a match between England’s Manchester City F.C. and Spain’s Real Madrid C.F. at the LA Memorial Coliseum on Wednesday, July 26 at 8:00 p.m. PT (ESPN). All 2017 LA Galaxy Season Ticket Members will receive access to an exclusive presale for tickets to the match. Fans can also purchase tickets to the match between Manchester City and Real Madrid on July 26 through the LA Galaxy’s Summer of Soccer ticket plan, which also offers tickets to select LA Galaxy MLS matches at StubHub Center. Additional information on Summer of Soccer plans will be announced in the coming weeks.

In its five-year history, the International Champions Cup has established itself as the world’s premier summer soccer tournament, hosting top-tier matches in iconic venues across the world. Clubs including Manchester United F.C., FC Barcelona, Real Madrid C.F., Manchester City F.C., Chelsea F.C., Juventus F.C., Paris Saint-Germain F.C., Club América and LA Galaxy, among a host of others, have played matches at venues including Michigan Stadium, The Rose Bowl, Wembley Stadium, Yankee Stadium, Stamford Bridge, Melbourne Cricket Ground and MetLife Stadium among others.


Throughout the tournament’s history, sold out venues and fan engagement have ushered the ICC into the forefront of soccer’s growth in the United States. In 2014, Manchester United F.C. and Real Madrid C.F. met at the “Big House” at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, where 109,318 fans packed the stadium, marking the largest attended soccer match in United States history. In 2015, FC Barcelona and the LA Galaxy met at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena where 93,226 passionate fans watched an impressive battle between the two best clubs in their respective leagues. Last year’s tournament included the two most attended soccer matches in the United States for 2016 with crowds of 105,826 (Real Madrid C.F. vs. Chelsea F.C. at Michigan Stadium) and 86,641 (Real Madrid C.F. vs. Paris Saint-Germain F.C. at Ohio Stadium).
