CARSON, Calif. – Former LA Galaxy defender Omar Gonzalez is training with the team ahead of the U.S. National Team’s June World Cup qualifiers.

Gonzalez is expected to join the U.S. National Team ahead of their June World Cup qualifiers that will see them take on Trinidad and Tobago on June 8 at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park and then Mexico in Mexico City on June 11.  The 28-year-old central defender recently led Pachuca to the CONCACAF Champions League title, helping the Tuzos to their second title in his near year-and-a-half tenure with the Mexican club.

Prior to joining Pachuca, Gonzalez spent seven years with the LA Galaxy winning three MLS Cups with the team.
