LA Galaxy inspired by massive support in San Jose: "Our love for them never dies" | INSIDER

SAN JOSE, Calif. – The LA Galaxy captured their first regular season win in Northern California since 2014, and the squad believes the traveling contingent of supporters from Los Angeles played a significant role.

A total of 250 LA Galaxy supporters made the trip to San Jose to see Los Angeles earn a 4-2 victory over the San Jose Earthquakes. The traveling party was the largest group that the Galaxy have taken to Avaya Stadium since the stadium’s opening.

Following the team’s third consecutive victory, the Galaxy was quick to rush to thank their traveling supporters who midfielder Rafael Garcia admitted provided extra inspiration for Los Angeles.

“Anytime our fans come out, this game especially—it being a Cali Clasico, it’s inspiring. I had family come out who sat in the section, and they told me that our supporters were chanting and being lively the whole time, and we heard it on the field," midfielder Rafael Garcia told LA Galaxy Insider. "That lit the fire for us to get in the game and grind out a result. Kudos to everyone that came out, we greatly appreciate it and hope for them to come out to more.

“Our love for them never dies. That’s special. We owe it to them to get the results. We started [the season] off slow, but things are slowly coming together. They were there when we weren’t doing so well, and now we’re starting to pick it up and the support is picking up even greater. We have the best fans in the league. We look forward to giving them more results, especially at home.”
