LA Galaxy II goalkeeper Eric Lopez has been loaned up to LA Galaxy and will be available for selection for tonight’s game against D.C. United at RFK Stadium (4 p.m. PT; Spectrum SportsNet, Spectrum Deportes).

Lopez has made two starts this season for LA Galaxy II, most recently earning a 2-1 win against New York Red Bulls on May 14. Lopez signed with LA Galaxy II in November of 2014, and became the youngest player ever to sign a contract in USL and the second-ever LA Galaxy Academy player to sign a professional contract with Los Dos at the age of 15.

The Academy product has featured at every level of the LA Galaxy Academy, playing with the LA Galaxy U-13’s to the U-18’s. He has also been named various U.S. Soccer Academy rosters.

Lopez’s loan to the first team comes after it was announced that goalkeeper Brian Rowe will miss approximately six to eight weeks due to a groin injury suffered during training this week at StubHub Center.

The LA Galaxy will face Eastern Conference side D.C. United this Saturday, June 3, at 4 p.m. PT on the road at RFK Stadium live on Spectrum SportsNet and Spectrum Deportes. The Galaxy will then have a bye week before returning to StubHub Center for a game on Saturday, June 17 vs. the Houston Dynamo at 8 p.m. PT.
