LA Galaxy slip in latest MLS Power Rankings | INSIDER

Romain Alessandrini

CARSON, Calif. – The LA Galaxy dropped in the three MLS Power Rankings after their 2-1 defeat to Orlando City SC.

The Galaxy fell to a 2-4-0 record on the year after Cyle Larin scored the winner for Orlando City last Saturday. Los Angeles return to action on Sunday when they host reigning MLS Cup champion Seattle Sounders FC.

The Galaxy’s placement in the three most prominent power rankings can be found below:

ESPN FC: 18th (-4)

"The Galaxy tumble four spots for two reasons: to make room for the improving sides above them and because the nature of their loss in Orlando was so deflating. Romain Alessandrini is a bright spot for the club in his first season, but there are mediocre performances across the team that are holding the proud franchise back."

MLSsoccer.com: 18th (-1)

"Something is still off with this team, with Giovani dos Santos unable to get off the mark so far this season. The right back issue is also not going away as it looks like Robbie Rogers might be out for the season."

SI.com: 19th (-2)

"The Galaxy came out on the wrong end of the weekend’s most entertaining match, a 2–1 loss at Orlando City. The Galaxy are still struggling to score goals, but new acquisition Jack McInerney could help with that. He’ll be available on Sunday as the Galaxy try to snap out of their season-opening funk against the Seattle Sounders."
