CARSON, Calif. -- The LA Galaxy hope to have forward Giovani dos Santos back in the lineup when they take on Columbus Crew SC on Aug. 23.
Dos Santos missed the Galaxy's 2-0 defeat to New York City FC last Saturday due to a hamstring injury sustained in training earlier in the week. The 28-year-old Mexican international has six goals and one assist in 16 appearances for the Galaxy in 2017.
“We think Giovani should be able to play our next game in Columbus," Sigi Schmid told reporters after the defeat to NYCFC. "We think he should be back.
