Giovani dos Santos earned the start as Mexico continued their winning ways in their final home game of CONCACAF World Cup qualifying.
Dos Santos went 60 minutes as Mexico picked up a thrilling 3-1 win over Trinidad and Tobago in San Luis PotosÃ. Javier Hernandez, Hirving Lozano and Hector Herrera scored for El Tri in the final minutes as Mexico extended their lead atop the Hexagonal standings. Shahdon Winchester scored the only goal for the Soca Warriors.
Jonathan dos Santos was an unused substitute for Mexico.
Mexico returns to action on Tuesday when they travel to Central America to face Honduras. A win over the Hondurans will help clinch Mexico's highest point total ever in the final round of CONCACAF World Cup qualifying.
