The world's greatest soccer tournament kicks off on Thursday morning when the host nation Russia takes on Saudi Arabia at Luzinski Stadium.

Russia will strive to avoid being the first hosts to lose the opening match, however, Saudi Arabia will not be an easy opponent, as they look to win their first World Cup match in 24 years.
