Postgame Quote Sheet: LA Galaxy II vs. Swope Park Rangers | August 1, 2018

Mike Muñoz | August 1, 2018

LA GALAXY II HEAD COACH MIKE MUÑOZ
On tonight’s performance:

“Swope Park is a good team. They’re a good possession oriented team. They like to dominate the game with the ball. I feel disappointed in the result because we had a penalty kick, we had chances and we did enough to win the game tonight. I’m disappointed from that aspect, but it was a good soccer game.

On how motivated the team looked in action tonight:

Credit to Ariel, to Frank Lopez, to Bradford [Jamieson IV] when he came on, to [Ethan] Zubak. These guys want to prove themselves. They set the tone for us up top even though they’re the forwards, they’re the first line of defense. I was really pleased with the energy and the effort that they brought. I thought our back five was excellent. Our mid-three did everything they could to deal with the tough opponent. I’m disappointed though because I think we should have won this game.”

On the how to take the momentum from this game to San Antonio FC:

“I think we improved from the last game to this game. They are becoming more comfortable in the system and what we are asking them to do. The chances were there, we just lacked a little bit of quality. But, we have to go to San Antonio and do it all over again in three days.”
