Galaxy II

Postgame Quote Sheet: LA Galaxy II vs. Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC | September 1, 2018

Muñoz 9.1

LA GALAXY II HEAD COACH MIKE MUÑOZ
On tonight’s performance:

“I’m really proud of the guys. We had a game plan in our system that we felt was going to neutralize Colorado and we prepared for it all week. First team guys slot in and they fit perfectly. I thought it was a really professional performance tonight.”

On the halftime adjustments that were made:

“I think both teams were trying to figure each other out. We added three players last minute from the first team into the starting lineup, so there was an adjustment period for us to make sure that all of us were on the same page. Going into halftime with the lead, we talked about protecting it and managing it, but also getting that third goal to put it away.”

On Ariel Lassiter’s performance:

“Ari has been great for us every time he’s come down. He’s hungry and he has a little bit of a chip on his shoulder right now because he wants to perform at the first team level. The only way that you get to that level is by coming down here and performing at this level. He showed his qualities tonight. His teammates obviously put him in great situations, as well. But, very happy with Ari on both sides of the ball.”

On carrying the momentum from this win to next week:

“Las Vegas is much more organized than the last time we played them. They’ve made some additions to their team, former Galaxy players who we know very well, so we know they have a lot of quality. We still think that we can come up with a game plan to tackle their lack of organization at times, especially in transition. It’s a big game for both teams and we will be ready.”
