Efrain Alvarez's impressive chip goal 27th minute against Las Vegas Lights FC has been nominated for USL Goal of the Week. After perfectly controlling a chipped pass by Ariel Lassiter, Alvarez gained possession and showed off his own chip over the charging goalkeeper to score. This ended up serving as the game-winning goal in Los Dos' 2-1 victory over Las Vegas.
Alvarez has scored nine goals in 13 appearances for LA Galaxy II. He has also been named to USL Team of the Week three times this season. The first time came after his historic role in Los Dos' victory against Saint Louis FC on May 9. In the match, Alvarez recorded his first professional hat trick, becoming the youngest player to score a hat trick in USL history.
