Zlatan Ibrahimović on a mission in year two in Major League Soccer: "I’m looking to break every record"

LOS ANGELES – Zlatan Ibrahimović made a very bold guarantee to the LA Galaxy faithful on Sunday evening.


In front of thousands of Galaxy fans packing The Novo at L.A. Live in Downtown Los Angeles, Ibrahimović, who is no stranger from fearless predictions, made his boldest yet while speaking with Fox Sports host Rob Stone.


“This season I will bring something for you,” Ibrahimović told the Galaxy fans assembled at the unveiling of the new Night Navy kit. “Because they say I am old, I’m looking to break every record in MLS this season."

The Galaxy's Swedish center forward dominated MLS in his first season, scoring 22 goals and 10 assists bringing the team to the brink of the postseason. Now as he looks ahead to year two in the United States, he's got one message for the rest of the league. 


“The message is, I’m still here.”
