Lineup Notes


  • The LA Galaxy return to Dignity Health Sports Park for their third match in the last eight days as head coach Guillermo Barros Schelotto will make four changes to the starting XI as Julian Araujo, Sevando Carrasco, Giancarlo Gonzalez and Diedie Traore will get the start at home.
  • Goalkeeper David Bingham starts his 46th straight game in the net since joining the Galaxy. He has not missed a match since joining the club ahead of last year.
  • In the center is Daniel Steres, who has made 83 appearances during his time with the club since signing from LA Galaxy II after the 2015 season. He is one of three players to have started every game for the Galaxy this season (Uriel Antuna, Jonathan dos Santos). He is the second-leading scorer for LA this year.
  • In the center of the defense, Giancarlo Gonzalez earns his first start for the LA Galaxy after joining the club last month. It will be his 21st appearance in MLS during his career, previously featuring for Columbus Crew SC.
  • Rounding out the backline is the Uruguayan and horse-riding/goal-assisting Diego Polenta, who makes his 11th start of the season. He has three assists in his last three games.
  • On the right side of the field is the talented youngster Julian Araujo, who has impressed in his time this year after signing at the start of the season. The Academy product has made four previous appearances.
  • Making his 11th-straight start of 2019 is midfielder Sebastian Lletget, who will make the 75th start of his MLS career. In all, he has 12 goals and 13 assists.
  • Veteran midfielder Servando Carrasco will get the nod in the midfield, filling in for Jonathan dos Santos. Carrasco has 151 previous MLS appearances.
  • Completing the midfield mix is Joe Corona, the 28-year-old U.S. Men’s National team veteran who was signed to the Galaxy through the use of Target Allocation Money on March 6. Corona also makes his 11th start in MLS this season.
  • On the left side of the field is the Frenchman Diedie Traore, a youngster with a remarkable story. Traore first joined the club after being selected through the LA Galaxy II Open Tryout process.
  • Playing up top will be the young and the speedy Mexican international Uriel Antuna. The Manchester City loan has started every game this season and has scored in two goals in his last three contests.  
  • Up top is Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who plays soccer very well.

  • This year at Dignity Health Sports Park, the Galaxy are a perfect 6-0-0 with 13 goals scored and just six conceded.
