Starting XI presented by Modelo: LA Galaxy vs. New England Revolution | June 2, 2019 -

Lineup Notes

  • Guillermo Barros Schelotto and the LA Galaxy return home to Dignity Health Sports Park for a match vs. the Revolution, with two changes to the Starting XI: Diego Polenta and Joe Corona return to the starting group.
  • Goalkeeper David Bingham starts his 50th straight game in the net since joining the Galaxy after coming off of two-straight shutout performances for LA.
  • On the right is Daniel Steres, who played out wide earlier in the week and delivered a strong performance. Steres has been one of the Galaxy’s strongest players along the backline this year.
  • In the center is Diego Polenta, who returns after missing the midweek contest due to an injury. This year, Polenta has made 12 appearances, all starts, in his first year with the Galaxy.
  • Jorgen Skjelvik rounds out the backline for his 12th start of the season. In all, Jorgen has made 43 previous appearances since joining the Galaxy ahead of the 2018 season.
  • Making his 15th-straight start of 2019 is midfielder Sebastian Lletget, who will make the 79th start of his MLS career. In all, he has 12 goals and 13 assists.
  • The Galaxy’s heart of the midfield, Jonathan dos Santos, is once again back in the Starting XI after missing his only match of the season three weeks ago vs. NYCFC. Two games ago, Dos Santos scored the first game-winning goal of his career vs. Orlando.
  • Completing the midfield mix is Joe Corona, the 28-year-old U.S. Men’s National team veteran who was signed to the Galaxy through the use of Target Allocation Money on March 6. Corona is set to make his 15th start in MLS this season.
  • Favio Alvarez is slated to make his fourth-straight start for the Galaxy since signing earlier this year. Alvarez is coming off a performance that saw him score the game-winning goal vs. SKC on Wednesday. Today will be the versatile midfielder’s second match played with Zlatan Ibrahimović.
  • The only field player to start every LA Galaxy game this season, Uriel Antuna, will once again feature up top. No one hustles harder than this speedy Mexican midfielder.
  • Zlatan Ibrahimović also starts. He plays soccer well.
