Efrain Alvarez scores world class free kick as Mexico U-17's advance to 2019 U-17 FIFA World Cup Final

LOS ANGELES -- Efrain Alvarez scored a stunning free kick as Mexico advanced to the 2019 Under-17 FIFA World Cup Final by defeating the Netherlands.

Alvarez scored a world-class free kick -- and then celebrated in a fashion befitting Zlatan Ibrahimovic -- in the 78th minute to help El Tri earn a 1-1 result and force the Netherlands into a penalty kick shootout. The LA Galaxy homegrown player missed the first attempt, but goalkeeper Eduardo Garcia made three saves to send El Tri through to their fourth-ever U-17 World Cup final.

Mexico will play Brazil on Sunday at 2 pm PT.
