LOS ANGELES (Sunday, July 9, 2023) – Playing in their seventh home match of the 2023 MLS NEXT Pro campaign, LA Galaxy II earned a 1-0 shutout win over St Louis CITY 2 at Dignity Health Sports Park’s Track & Field Stadium on Sunday night. Carson Klein scored the game-winning goal, while goalkeeper Novak Mićović made three saves, including making a penalty-kick stop, in Los Dos’ victory against CITY 2.

LA Galaxy Academy
Seven players with ties to the LA Galaxy Academy started in the match against St Louis CITY 2: Mauricio Cuevas, Marcus Ferkranus, Ascel Essengue, Adrián González, Adam Saldaña, Alex Alcalá and Jonathan Pérez. Three LA Galaxy Academy products appeared off the bench in the victory against St Louis: Klein, Diego López and Brandon Téllez.
