DENVER, Colo. (Sunday, June 25, 2023) – Playing their eighth match on the road during the 2023 campaign, LA Galaxy II fell 5-1 to Colorado Rapids 2 at University of Denver Soccer Stadium on Sunday night. 

LA Galaxy Academy
Eight players with ties to the LA Galaxy Academy started in the match against Colorado: Matteo Carbone, Ascel Essengue, Marcus Ferkranus, Adrián González, Adam Saldaña, Jonathan Pérez, Juan Calderón and Alex Alcalá. Additionally, two players LA Galaxy Academy products appeared off the bench in the loss to Rapids 2: Carson Klein and Diego López.

  • LA Galaxy Academy midfielder Juan Calderón recorded his second goal in his 12th appearance (5th start) of the 2023 campaign. 
  • Adam Saldaña completed 96 of 98 passes (98% passing accuracy), won possession four times and recorded three interceptions and three chances created.
