HERRIMAN, Utah (Friday, June 9, 2023) – Playing their seventh match on the road during the 2023 campaign, LA Galaxy II earned a 3-3 draw in regulation, but fell 5-4 to Real Monarchs in a penalty-kick shootout at Zions Bank Stadium on Friday night.

In their third-ever penalty-kick shootout in MLS NEXT Pro, LA Galaxy II fell to Real Monarchs 5-4. Adrián González, Juan Calderón, Aaron Bibout and Adam Saldaña each converted their penalty kicks in the shootout loss to Real Monarchs. LA Galaxy II have won two penalty-kick shootouts this season, while only losing one during the 2023 campaign.
