Jack McBean wins first-ever LA Galaxy Goal of the Month competition presented by 76 Gas

CARSON, Calif. – Jack McBean’s banner month of March concluded with a victory in the LA Galaxy’s Goal of the Month competition presented by 76 Gas.


The 21-year-old LA Galaxy II forward’s impressive physical effort from beyond the penalty area in a preseason match against the Colorado Springs Switchbacks was the top vote-getter for the month of March.


The Galaxy II captain’s preseason goal won the competition with 51 percent of the vote, narrowly defeating Daniel Steres’ first professional goal against D.C. Unite,d which earned nearly 41 percent of the votes. Goals by Mike Magee, Gyasi Zardes, and Ari Lassiter rounded out the ballot.


McBean has enjoyed a remarkable start to the season for Galaxy II with three goals and one assist in four appearances.
