Former LA Galaxy defender Dan Gargan to make broadcast debut Friday

Former LA Galaxy defender and fan favorite Dan Gargan will be back at StubHub Center this weekend to make his broadcast debut ahead of an action-packed weekend.

Starting Friday, Gargan will be in the broadcast booth as a color commentator alongside longtime LA Galaxy play-by-play announcer Joe Tutino for LA Galaxy II’s top of the table clash with Vancouver Whitecaps FC 2. Fans who aren't in attendance can watch live at LAGalaxy.com ahead of the match’s 7:30 p.m. PT kickoff.

On Saturday, Gargan will then return to the studio as he joins the Time Warner Cable SportsNet broadcast of LA Galaxy’s evening fixture against Real Salt Lake. That match kicks off at 7:30 p.m. PT.

Gargan, 33, made 54 MLS appearances for the Galaxy after signing with the team ahead of the 2014 season. The 10-year MLS veteran helped the club to its fifth MLS Cup trophy, playing 30 minutes in the Galaxy’s 2-1 win over the New England Revolution in the 2014 MLS Cup. Overall, Gargan has made 185 appearances in MLS between his time with the Colorado Rapids, Toronto FC, Chicago Fire, San Jose Earthquakes and LA Galaxy.
