LA Galaxy return home to host the New England Revolution on Sunday | Weekly Schedule

CARSON, Calif. (Monday, May 2, 2016) – The LA Galaxy (4-1-3, 15 points) return to StubHub Center for a match this Sunday, May 8, at 12:30 p.m. PT against the New England Revolution live on ESPN and ESPN Deportes.

LA Galaxy II will host two matches this week in their first action at the newly-renovated StubHub Center Track & Field Stadium, first on Wednesday, May 4, at 7:30 p.m. PT against Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC and again on Sacramento Republic FC on Saturday, May 7, at 7:30 p.m. PT.

The LA Galaxy will host a special Mother’s Day celebration this Sunday in advance of the match against the New England Revolution, presented by 76. The match will feature a special Mother’s Day Brunch in addition to various other activations in order to celebrate mothers. All time, the Galaxy are 17-15-7 against the New England Revolution, and 11-5-4 in games played at home. In their most recent contest, the Galaxy earned a 2-2 draw on the road at Gillette Stadium on May 31, 2015, behind goals from Jose Villarreal and Gyasi Zardes. Sunday’s matchup marks the only match of the season between the two sides.
This season, the Galaxy are 3-0-1 at StubHub Center, scoring 13 goals while allowing just five. The Galaxy have been one of the most successful MLS teams at home during the last four seasons, scoring 130 total goals at StubHub Center, the most of any team. The Galaxy’s home MLS record throughout the last four seasons is 37-5-12, with 130 goals for and just 41 against. Since 2014, the Galaxy have only lost five of the previous 54 MLS games at StubHub Center.
On Sunday, the Galaxy earned a 1-1 draw on the road against Sporting Kansas City, extending their unbeaten to six-straight MLS games. In total, the Galaxy have scored an MLS-high 18 goals and allowed just eight for a +10 goal differential, the best in MLS. LA are also tied for the MLS lead in assists (15).
