LA Galaxy II (5-2-5, 20 points) hit the road for a rematch against Northern California rival Sacramento Republic FC (4-3-2) at 8:00 p.m. PT on Saturday, June 4 at Bonney Field in Sacramento, Calif. The game will be streamed live on //www.lagalaxy.com/2.

On May 7, 2016, the two sides met for the first time during the 2016 campaign. In the match, Sacramento handed LA their first loss and shutout of the season in a 2-0 victory at StubHub Center. The loss was the first of what became a three-game winless streak, which ended last week when Los Dos thrashed Arizona United SC 4-1.

Los Dos lead the USL with 25 goals in 12 games while Republic FC has allowed just four goals in nine games. But on the offensive side of the ball, Sacramento are one of only three teams in the Western Conference to be averaging less than one goal per game (0.78).

Republic FC enters the match Saturday riding a three-game unbeaten streak, but has only managed a 2-2-1 record at home in 2016. Cameron Iwasa and Thomas Thompson lead the team with two goals apiece; Thomas Stewart leads with two assists.

LAST MATCH

LA Galaxy II 4 | Arizona United SC 1: LA Galaxy II earned a 4-1 win over Arizona United SC on May 28 at StubHub Center Track & Field Stadium behind two goals each from Jack McBean and Ryo Fujii. McBean’s two tallies increased his 2016 total to 11, the most of any player in the league, while Fujii tallied his second and third goals of the year. It was a dominant showing by Los Dos, who successfully ended their three-game winless streak.

Sacramento Republic FC 1 | Swope Park Rangers 1: In the 73rd minute the Rangers broke the deadlock. Forward Mark Anthony Gonzalez fought off a couple of Republic FC defenders near the top of the box before sending the ball back and to the middle to Oliveira. The midfielder took a few touches to balance himself before unleashing a 30-yard blast that found the right side of the net to put the Rangers ahead 1-0.

Republic FC wasted no time in responding however, quickly pressing the Rangers defense looking for an equalizer. In the 76th Republic FC would find that equalizer. Danny Barrera played a deflected shot back in to the middle and Williams. The forward took the pass and sent it to substitute forward Thomas Stewart who was making a run toward goal. Stewart then played the ball back to Cameron Iwasa who was wide open on the left side of the box. Iwasa took the pass and slotted the ball under Lubin pulling the score even at 1-1.
