CARSON, Calif. – Jack McBean’s impressive finish against Portland Timbers 2 won the July LA Galaxy Goal of the Month competition presented by 76 Gas.
An overwhelming number of Galaxy fans voted for McBean who earned 45.17% of the overall vote. Jorge Hernandez’s tally for the LA Galaxy U-16’s came in second to the Galaxy II striker’s goal.
McBean’s strike came in a match against Portland Timbers 2 when the forward slotted a cross from Bradford Jamieson IV into the back of the net.
McBean becomes the first player to win the competition twice this year. Other winners of the competition are Academy star Efrain Alvarez, Giovani dos Santos, and Robbie Rogers.
