LA Galaxy sign defender Bradley Diallo

The LA Galaxy have signed defender Bradley Diallo from LA Galaxy II, the club announced today. Diallo, 26, joins LA Galaxy after spending three years with LA Galaxy’s USL side, LA Galaxy II. Diallo and the LA Galaxy will open the 2017 MLS Regular Season on Saturday, March 4 at 1 p.m. PT live on Univision.

“Bradley has continued to show his value as a member with Galaxy II over the last three seasons,” said LA Galaxy General Manager Peter Vagenas. “He is a versatile player and will provide depth along our backline. He has shown that he can play at a high level while training with the Galaxy this preseason and we are excited to add him to our roster.”

In three seasons with Los Dos, Diallo recorded 46 appearances while helping the club to three consecutive playoff appearances. Last season, Diallo made five appearances for the club after a preseason ACL injury sidelined him for the majority of the season.

Diallo began his professional career in his native France, coming through the youth system of Olympique de Marseille in Ligue 1, the top French division, from 2000-2008. In 2008, the defender signed his first professional contract with Marseille, making four appearances for the first-team side in exhibition matches. Diallo also spent time with Oldham Athletic in England (2011-2012) and Royal White Star Bruxelles in Belgium (2013) before joining LA Galaxy II in USL.

Including Diallo, seven LA Galaxy players have now been signed directly from LA Galaxy II: Ariel Lassiter, Jack McBean, Dave Romney, Hugo Arellano, Clement Diop and Daniel Steres.
