LA Galaxy midfielder Romain Alessandrini has been named April's Herbalife Nutrition Player of the Month, with 65% percent of the vote.
Alessandrini collects his second Herbalife Nutrition Player of the Month win after making the most of five starts in April, a month that included a three-game goal streak for LA Galaxy's newest midfielder. Starting off the month with a brace against Vancouver on April 1, Alessandrini went on to score in the Galaxy's next two outings. He netted the game-winning goal in LA's first home win of the season against Montreal Impact on April 7.
Alessandrini edged out midfielders Jermaine Jones and Ema Boateng in the second Herbalife Nutrition Player of the Month poll of the season. Alessandrini gets his campaign for May's Herbalife Nutrition Player of the Month on Saturday, May 6 against the Chicago Fire at StubHub Center.
LA Galaxy fans can vote for the Herbalife Player of the Month Award in each month of the 2017 season. When a fan votes for a player online at LAGalaxy.com/POTM, they can enter to win the Herbalife Nutrition Player of the Month Sweepstakes. Each month, the sweepstakes winner will receive four VIP match tickets to a 2017 LA Galaxy home game. The winner and their three guests will also win a meet and greet with the Herbalife Nutrition Player of the Month at the LA Galaxy’s training grounds at StubHub Center.
