LOS ANGELES -- LA Galaxy forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic was named the Best MLS Player at the 2019 ESPY Awards on Tuesday.
Ibrahimovic defeated Josef Martinez, Wayne Rooney, and Aaron Long to win the award in a fan vote. The Galaxy forward and Swedish soccer legend has scored 35 goals in 42 games for the club since joining the team in 2018.
This is the ninth time an LA Galaxy player has won the Best MLS Player award at the ceremony.
