On the match:
“I thought that for the first 20-25 minutes up until the penalty kick it was pretty even. We talked about starting the game strong, coming out and making sure that we were the aggressors and on the right foot. We have a play where we hit the crossbar, maybe if we get a bit of luck things change a little bit. But once again, you could kind of tell that our lack of experience was showing through after 90 minutes.”
On what he wants to see from Los Dos against New York Red Bulls II this weekend:
“Response. Reaction. That’s the great thing about having a game this weekend is that it’s a quick turnaround so we don’t have time to dwell on this result. We’ll learn from it. We’ll learn from our mistakes on the video, and now it’s all about preparation for New York.”
On the performances of Galaxy Academy’s Alex Juarez and Ian Lonergan, who have both started four games this season for Los Dos:
“They’ve been guys who have done a tremendous job stepping in for our defenders that have been injured, Josh Turnley and Tyler Turner. They’ve given everything that’s been asked of them. It’s not easy for those guys to step into that position, but overall I’m very pleased with how they’ve done. They’ve given everything for the team.”
