Homeboy Industries, based in the Los Angeles, serves high-risk, formerly gang-involved men and women with a continuum of free services and programs, and operates several social enterprises that serve as job-training sites.

Last week, LA Galaxy staff members visited Homeboy Industries for a day of service and soccer in partnership with DrinkUp. During the visit, the Galaxy volunteers attended lunch with Homeboy members, received an organization tour and met with Homeboy trainees and staff members to discuss values and individual journeys. Following the onsite programming at Homeboy, LA Galaxy and DrinkUp hosted a community clinic at LA Historic Park inviting Homeboy families for soccer skills training.
