LA Galaxy to train over international break | Weekly Schedule

LOS ANGELES (Monday, Oct. 2, 2017) – LA Galaxy (7-17-8, 28 points) will break this week for 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia Qualifiers. It’ll be the team’s longest break between games this season, as they’ll return to play in their 2017 MLS home finale on Sunday, Oct. 15 at StubHub Center against Minnesota United FC.

2017 MLS Regular Season: Bye Week

LA Galaxy forward Giovani dos Santos and midfielder Jonathan dos Santos will be in action for Mexico over the international break, as the two were again called in as the team finishes up its World Cup Qualifying campaign against Trinidad and Tobago and Honduras.

The dos Santos brothers and Mexico will see Trinidad and Tobago at 8:30 p.m. PT on Friday, Oct. 6 at Estadio Alfonso Lastras in San Luis Postosí, Mexico. They’ll then travel to face Honduras at 6 p.m. PT on Tuesday, Oct. 10 at Estadio Olimpic in San Pedro Sula, Honduras.

LA Galaxy’s Gyasi Zardes was also called in for international duty, earning the nod from Bruce Arena and the U.S. Men’s National Team. However, after sustaining a groin injury in the first half of the Galaxy’s contest with Real Salt Lake over the weekend, Zardes will not be joining the team.

The U.S. face Panama at 4:30 p.m. PT on Friday, Oct. 6 at Orlando City Stadium before finishing their World Cup qualifying campaign against Trinidad and Tobago at 5 p.m. PT on Tuesday, Oct. 10 at Ato Boldon Stadium in Couva, Trinidad.
