The LA Galaxy Academy enjoyed another busy weekend. The older age groups of the Boys' Academy participated in the USSDA Winter Showcase in Lakewood Ranch, Fla., while the younger groups faced off against Real So Cal. The Girls' Academy enjoyed a big win over Albion SC at StubHub Center going 4-0-1, helping them prepare for their USSDA Winter Showcase from Dec. 5-9.
Additionally, three LA Galaxy Boys' Academy players helped the US U-17 Men's National Team finish as runners-up at the 2018 Nike International Friendlies. LA Galaxy Academy's Kobe Hernandez, Adam Saldana and Cameron Dunbar saw action throughout the tournament. Hernandez completed 90 minutes in all three matches against Portugal, Turkey and Brazil. Saldana played in all three matches as well, coming off of the bench twice. Dunbar made two appearances off the bench for the U-17 USMNT.
