The LA Galaxy are proud to partner with Modelo in their Fighting Spirit Project as both parties will be joined by Leave No Veteran Behind (LVNB). LVNB began with the mission to alleviate the burden of veterans’ student loan debt by awarding scholarships to individuals who continue to serve, through volunteer work here at home.
Modelo, Leave No Veteran Behind and the LA Galaxy are excited to showcase the commitment to these veterans on Sunday, May 19 as we honor two Los Angeles veterans for their excellent service and commitment to the community. Because, for many veterans, their fight isn’t over when they return home. Adjusting to civilian life presents unique challenges with many veterans having a higher unemployment rate and insufficient healthcare.
This year, Modelo’s Fighting Chance Project is awarding veterans with scholarships. These women and men have served their country and now they’re serving their communities. Without student loan debt, they will be closer to finding economic independence and empowerment.
