Starting XI presented by Modelo: Orlando City vs. LA Galaxy | May 24, 2019 -

Lineup Notes

  • The LA Galaxy travel to one of the greatest states in America – the home of Tim Tebow, Publix subs and the Florida Gators – for Friday’s contest as they prepare for a matchup with Orlando City, and head coach Guillermo Barros Schelotto will make two changes to the Starting XI from last weekend’s contest: Jorgen Skjelvik and Emil Cuello step into the XI.
  • Goalkeeper David Bingham starts his 48th straight game in the net since joining the Galaxy. He has not missed a match since joining the club ahead of last year.
  • On the right is the Venezuelan Rolf Feltscher, who is in the XI for the second-straight match after missing a contest due a toe injury. Feltscher has been the first-choice right back when healthy this year.
  • In the center is Daniel Steres, who has made 85 appearances during his time with the club since signing from LA Galaxy II after the 2015 season. He is one of two players to have started every game for the Galaxy this season (Uriel Antuna). He is the second-leading scorer for LA this year.
  • In the center of the defense, Giancarlo Gonzalez makes his third-straight start for the LA Galaxy after joining the club last month. It will be his 23rd appearance in MLS during his career, previously featuring for Columbus Crew SC.
  • Rounding out the backline is Jorgen Skjelvik, who returns the starting lineup for what will mark his 10th start on the year. In all, Jorgen has made 41 previous appearances since joining the Galaxy.
  • Making his 13th-straight start of 2019 is midfielder Sebastian Lletget, who will make the 77th start of his MLS career. In all, he has 12 goals and 13 assists.
  • Mexico International Jonathan dos Santos remains in the lineup after missing his only match of the season two weeks ago vs. NYCFC. Dos Santos has been on fire this season and is one of the best CMs in MLS.
  • Completing the midfield mix is Joe Corona, the 28-year-old U.S. Men’s National team veteran who was signed to the Galaxy through the use of Target Allocation Money on March 6. Corona also makes his 13th start in MLS this season.
  • Out wide in an attacking role is the rookie Emil Cuello, who impressed in brief cameos in previous weeks. The rookie makes his second start of the season, also appearing in the club’s opening match.
  • Making his second appearance for the LA Galaxy is the newest signing, Favio Alvarez. The Argentine will operate as the playmaker on Friday evening. The versatile attacked can play as a forward, attacking midfielder or out wide.
  • The relentless Uriel Antuna will feature up top for LA after having started every game this season. Antuna was recently named to Mexico’s preliminary Gold Cup roster last week.
