Lineup notes:
- It’s Sunday afternoon soccer in this year’s fourth rendition of LA vs. LAFC, with the Galaxy going 2-1-0 in the prior three. Head Coach Guillermo Barros Schelotto welcomes back Jonathan dos Santos and Rolf Feltscher from International duty while Perry Kitchen (suspension, yellow card accumulation) and Javier Hernandez (injury) are unavailable for selection.
- U.S. keeper Jonathan Klinsmann will continue in net for the Galaxy after making his second-straight start and recording a shutout victory over Vancouver last Sunday. The young USMNT prospect has looked confident and poised in net for the Galaxy.
- Returning from International duty with Venezuela is Rolf Feltscher, who slots into the right back position for LA. Feltscher has started 51 previous games for the Galaxy.
- In the middle is veteran Daniel Steres, who continues in his starting role. Steres has made 15 starts this season and 203 in his career with LA, which began after he signed from LA Galaxy II.
- In his second-straight start, Costa Rican international Giancarlo Gonzalez continues in the starting XI with his 38th start in MLS between LA and Columbus.
- On the left is Argentine veteran Emiliano Insua, who was brought in prior to the start of the season with experience from throughout Europe. Insua has started every game for LA this year.
- Making his third-straight start is Sacha Kljestan, the USMNT and MLS veteran who has provided experience and poise in the center of the pitch in recent weeks. Kljestan will make his 250th start in MLS.
- Returning to the XI is Mexico International Jonathan dos Santos, who is available for selection following MLS protocols after his return from international duty. JDS is a crucial component of the Galaxy midfield and a welcome return to the XI.
- On the right side of midfield is the young and talented speedster Julian Araujo, who has become a regular in the starting lineup this season. Araujo will push higher up the field Sunday against LAFC in what will be his 12th start.
- Pulling the strings on offense is Sebastian Lletget, who continues to thrive in the central attacking role this year. Lletget has six goals and two assists on the year.
- Out wide is the talented playmaker Cristian Pavon, the Argentine World Cup representative who has impressed in LA since arriving on loan late last year. Pavon has seven goals and seven assists this season. He’s started every match. He has tallied three goals and four assists in four contests vs. LAFC.
- Up top is Colombian speedster, Yony Gonzalez, who is making his third-straight start. Gonzalez exited last weekend’s match prematurely due to a knock he picked up midgame, but is back at full strength.

- At Banc of California Stadium, LA are 1-0-2 in regular season play.
