Javier "Chicharito" Hernandez following LA Galaxy draw with Seattle: "Everyone deserves better in this club"

LOS ANGELES -- The LA Galaxy may be out of the postseason, but forward Javier "Chicharito" Hernandez believes that better days are ahead for Los Angeles.

Hernandez scored his second goal in a Galaxy kit in Wednesday's 1-1 draw with Seattle Sounders FC that saw the Galaxy eliminated from postseason contention. The 2020 campaign will mark the third time in four seasons the Galaxy have missed the MLS Cup Playoffs.

Following the match, Hernandez who has been vocal about the struggles that he's experienced in his first season with he club, declared the best is yet to come.

"I want take this opportunity as well and say sorry to all my fans and sorry to all the LA Galaxy fans, and I say sorry to this lovely and the best institution of this country, that this was a bad season for me," Hernandez told reporters. "I  didn’t give them my best, but I wanted to show at least in these last games that that’s what I can give, and I want that. I want to give that because you deserve better, I deserve better, everyone deserves better in this club."

"It was probably too late for this season, yes, and I’m sorry and I take responsibility on my side, and taking that responsibility I know that I want to give everything next season and in these two games as you can see. Then in this life, everything starts to come along, and flow and then good things come."
