Jason Hoon is a respiratory therapist at St. Bernardine Medical Center. He has worked in the ICU day in and day out caring for the sickest COVID-19 patients. At the peak of the surge, the reality was many patients ended up on a ventilator under the care of respiratory therapists. Additionally, Jason had previously been a firefighter for fourteen years. Jason has cared for countless patients with dignity and compassion, like they were his own family. His positivity provided strength and hope to his colleagues - and that’s why he is our Healthcare Hero of the Game.
